I’M CRASHING THE BCS (AGAIN)… IN 2016, PART III

Things are looking up for the Florida Gators.

This past week (Week 3), Florida landed back up in the AP Top 25 College Football Poll ranked #23 due to a big win over Kentucky last Saturday (45-7).

What worked so well for the Gators was the aggressiveness on both sides of the football and the improved precision of quarterback Luke Del Rio who threw for 320 yards (the most pass yards for a Florida QB vs SEC opponents since 2004) and 4 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Gators defense had 5 sacks, 3 interceptions and a forced fumble, solidifying their reputation as one of the best defenses in the league.

Moving forward, if Florida can be this balanced and continue to improve, it is possible this team could climb higher in the rankings, win the SEC East, and vie for a playoff spot.

Of course, first things first.

Next opponent up is North Texas Mean Green (tonight at 7:30 ET), a team the Gators should have no problems beating up.

In fact, the Mean Green only went 1-11 last year and has consistently been one of the worst performers in the league.

So, this week’s game should be a good opportunity for Florida to prepare for bigger opponents ahead on the schedule.

That is, #15 Tennessee is right around the corner (Week 4).

#20 LSU (Week 6).

#16 Georgia (Week 8).

#24 Arkansas (Week 9).

#2 Florida State (Week 12).

Giddyup.
